Our Kindergarten program has several aspects. We exist to support parents as they raise their children in the world of today with the main goal of keeping their children connected to Jesus throughout their lives.
Spiritually
We strive to consistently feed the Gospel of Jesus to each child so that the Holy Spirit would strengthen and increase his or her faith, leading to a commitment to serve the one true God. God's Word is interwoven into all of the other aspects of our mornings together each day.
Academically
We put into practice solid phonics and math programs. Both are taught in a systematic way, presenting information incrementally (in small understandable bits) with daily reviews. Regular assessment and feedback to parents are essential so that parents are able to stay involved and up-to-date on their child's progress.
Physically, Socially and Emotionally
An opportunity for the children's growth physically, socially and emotionally is provided daily in our active Kindergarten morning. We strive to reach every type of learner at each level in their development. Children can experience growth through hands-on experiences, discussion, exploration, oral and written practice, art, drama, music, field trips and guest speakers. Games, recess, and playtime activities for reinforcement and just for fun are daily events. There are plenty of chances to put faith into action with service opportunities in our church, school, and community. We want to give each child the most solid base possible on which many years of education can be built.
In the end, we strive to provide a Kindergarten atmosphere where the children can grow and develop a greater appreciation and respect for all that God has given and done for them. Then they can be confident, eager, and well equipped to go ahead and live God-pleasing lives, always looking forward to eternal life in heaven.
